Malibu Day Retreat

A DAY OF YOGA AND AYURVEDA
SATURDAY, JULY 26TH
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Point Dume, Malibu

Join me for luxurious day long retreat in Malibu, California, where we will practice Yoga and learn about Ayurveda and how this ancient wisdom can help us achieve long lasting health and vibrance. Enjoy relaxing in the sun by a beautiful pool right off the ocean in Malibu with plenty of healthy Ayurvedic snacks and refreshments before sitting together and enjoying a freshly prepared seasonal Ayurvedic lunch. We will end the afternoon with a sound bath and take home some fun goodies to inspire your continued journey. Afterwards, you are welcome to walk down to the beach or cliffs which is just a few steps away to integrate everything you have learned and enjoy the sunset. This day will be both refreshing, relaxing and inspiring. If you have ever wanted to experience a yoga retreat but have never had the chance to, this is a great way to experience what a day in a retreat is like.

Our home for the day is located just a few minutes walk from the famous Point Dume Beach Natural Preserve and Zuma Beach. We will have a gorgeous swimming pool and jacuzzi at our disposal (weather permitting), as well as a lovely grassy area to lounge. Lunch will be served family style outside as well, so we can enjoy everything this time of year has to offer. Once the retreat day ends, guests have the option to walk to the local cliffs to watch the dolphins and sea lions or stroll the gorgeous beach and enjoy the sunset

Yoga

The day will begin with an all level yoga class that suits the season. You will learn how simple modifications to your practice can help you stay cool during the hot summer months.

Sound Bath

The day will end with a soothing sound bath, which has been proven to calm and regulate the nervous system. A perfect way to end a day of wellness and healing 

Ayurvedic Food

Ayurveda emphasizes that food serves a crucial role in maintaining health and well-being. It considers food as a therapeutic tool to promote healthy digestion and balance in the body. During this day long retreat, you will be served snacks, light beverages, and a delicious, nourishing lunch that aligns with the season, with an emphasis on fresh, organic, whole and nutritious foods that promote a sense of well being. You will also learn a about Ayurvedic seasonings, preparations, food combinations, and more.

  • Morning all level yoga class with Chrissy Gonzalez focused on Pitta Season. Mat's provided by Alo Yoga

  • Locally sourced organic Ayurvedic snacks, beverages, lunch and dessert served by locally acclaimed chef Meredith Klein of Pranaful. Meredith will also spend time with us explaining some of her Ayurvedic cooking techniques and share the spices and ingredients that she uses. She will bring copies of her cookbook Kitchen Ritual which will be available for purchase. 

  • ​Soothing Sound Bath by Adrienne Bawa of Sound Bird Healing

  • Extensive Ayurvedic Dosha Quiz provided by Kõppen who will also offer an Ayurvedic Dosha Guide at a discounted price.

  • Introductory discussion on Ayurveda with Chrissy including where it originated, how it can improve your health and life, your unique constitution and what it means for you as well as a diet guide and daily rituals that you can incorporate to help you feel your best.

  • All day access to a gorgeous heated pool and jacuzzi (weather permitting). Bring your swimsuits!

  • Decadent take home gift bag filled with lots of Ayurvedic goodies and tools to inspire you on your continued journey towards health and wellness.

Please note, parking on property is limited. First come first serve. Off site parking will also be available just a few minutes walk from the property. Address will be provided after registration as well as a map for parking. Carpooling is highly recommended.
